Weekend in France minus my laptop

May 13, 2008

I have so many final projects due!

I had a wonderful weekend purposely without my laptop, so i need to start “esag project recovery”. In the mean time; until i get a chance to write all about my eye opening adventures in France this weekend feel free to peek at the entire photo album sets on my flickr account by clicking here> http://flickr.com/photos/samanthabryan/sets

Words i either forgot or missed in school
in order of their discovery

nuit blanche=all nighter hence,”Nuit Blanche” Toronto event
ça te plais?=do you like that?
rate=miss
pâté=pie (honestly thought i was gonna going to be reunited with a “beef patty”)
rôti=rosted (again, honestly thought i was going to be reunited with a “roti chicken”)

Quote that caught me off guard

May 8, 2008

Running into new people makes me happy.
In response to my usual excuse i give everyone for being at OCAD forever.

“Well, the time is not important. We better concentrate and produce nice things.”

*i’ve heard this in soo many different ways but this one sat just right for me on this particular night.

Sunshine and Fossils

April 26, 2008

I walked from home all the way to Gare d’Austerlitz and stumbled upon a big park and the Museum of natural history. I can’t say i remember the last time i saw fossils must have been grade 6 or earlier (maybe never). I did a great deal of filtering when i chose what photos to put up. I was a little squeemish in there. Some of the preserved monkeys (with skin) really freaked me out. lol I also think i saw a skeleton of a “johncrow” (haha daddy/mommy) There was even a section for two headed animals :P They should really raise the age limit for kids. but then again all the kids in there where bouncing around in like nothing.

After that i took advantage of the sunshine and walked in the park. For those of you who know about my past experience of getting kicked out of a park, i’d like to say there was a lot of whistle blowing going on today as people who where happily napping and lunching on the grass where properly whistle blown and escorted off their patch of grass. oh dear, flashbacks. :P
